【摘要】:Theperformancecriterialistedinthisguidewillprovideguidanceintheselectionofoilspillpumpingequipment.Thisguidehasbeendevelopedforusebythefollowing:manufacturersofpumpingsystemswhowishtoestablishacommonmeansofevaluatingandreportingtheperformancecharacteristicsoftheirproducts;andexistingorpotentialusersofpumpingsystemswhowishtocomparetheperformancecharacteristicsofvariousproducts.1.1Thisguideisintendedasaguidelineforthestandardizedreportingofperformancedataofpumpsandpumpsystemsthatmaybeconsideredforuseinoilspillresponseoperations.Thepresentobjectiveistodevelopareportingguidelinetoaidinthecomparativeevaluationofvariousdevices.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoinch-poundunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
